I give it 5 stars, great content, this course should be named “Database normalization” or “Normalizing a database”

    Things to correct:
    – Get the audio volume up, I can barely hear it even with all the volume up.

    – Set the slides to 16:9 aspec ratio, it’s 2021.

    Recommendation:

Ad more database examples and repeat the process with those, with 2 or 3 databases like: retail inventory, sales and compensations; and accounting just to name a few. That would be great.

The course was very short and appeared more like an advertisement to his other courses. I would suggest people to rather go for a full fledge database course rather than this one. Thanks

I really appreciated the emphasis on building on the basic concepts of a database by the instructor. Also, another commendable aspect is the fact that the lectures have been organized into smaller 5-minute videos rather than a 10-minute lecture. I would recommend introducing some questions at the end of every lecture to test the candidate’s knowledge about the subject.

Hi Ben, The content is awesome. I reduced 0.5 star due to the low volume. I could barely hear you speaking even when the volume is raised up. Thank you very much

Before I found this course, I was struggling to find a quick and comprehensive coverage of databases’ theory.
I do not need specifics of any particular DBMS or language, I just needed the theory in general to get a vague understanding before my job interview (I won’t have a lot of work to do with databases, but I will sometimes have a little).
This course was perfect and I listened to it in the single morning.
As I am writing this, there are less than 15 minutes left till interview and I am prepped in terms of DBs exactly to the level I needed

Subject is good and content delivery is also good. I feel it too slow for me and some times feels sleepy

The course was consistent with the stated requirements, but fell a little short of my expectations. In my opinion, too much emphasis was placed on the database design tool used. Instead, one could introduce document-based databases and refer to other written sources, where more knowledge can be obtained.

The teacher’s accent wasn’t clear. And the course could be having more details.
