Im not giving 5 stars, normally 4,5 if i liked the course. This one i enjoyed a lot, i think the style of teaching, explanation is very clear and beginner friendly, but also not extremely slow or boring at the same time. AND the major thing – end with creating the app! I took some while ago Colts web course and i somehow didn’t finished and moved to other things – here this app creating with quick usage of node, express without really going deep into specific (because its not course about web dev) somehow hit my brain in right position, i finally understood what is node, express and mysql and most importantly – what lot of times i miss in other courses – how those things go together at the end in real usage. Thank you so much!

I think it was a great course but, since I did Colt’s course Web Development Boot Camp (also here in Udemy), perhaps I would have started with this one. Why? Well, I personally think this course provides a good starting point for people who want to learn coding. Perhaps I am wrong because I still lack lots of notions but I would give it a second thought on how this could be a good starting point. Finally, I do think Colt is a good teacher and his support team is very good too. So well done!

I had a lot of fun working on this course! I highly recommend it as a foundation for SQL! I was kind of worried that I would be struggling with SQL since it works with databases, but thankfully the order of sections and the simple explanations made it really easy to grasp concepts!
I have some notes to improve the course. The content needs an update since it was made in 2017, and it could be divided into three segments. The first segment is the basics of SQL and in it we use GoormIDE or any other IDE platform, then in the second segment we transition to using MySQL on our desktops and start learning intermediate SQL concepts, finally in the third segment we learn how to use and connect MySQL with other languages and programs such as Node, Express, VS Code, etc.
By doing this the course could live up to the “beginner to expert” promise! And I believe a lot of new students will be happy and come out more well equipped in the SQL and developer fields!

This course is a really good start to know almost everything about SQL and MYSQL. All the sections are well explained and the introduction section at the starting of every section which includes blue just lightens up the mood :). I understood everything clearly except for the node portion since I have never used it and so I found that portion a little difficult to understand and there was not much explanation for that topic. Overall, the instructors way of teaching is amazing and you do not feel like you are learning through online mode. Thanks for this course.
