When I saw the reddit post Luis put up I was excited! I bought my first mac, a MacBook Air, about a year ago. By now I feel quite comfortable using the OS, installing Apps, organizing files and so on but I do not feel as comfortable as I am still in a Windows envoriment (at least up to Win7).
Organizing documents by tags within spotlight was something new but with Maverics on the way it is more than irrelevant expecially when the software needed to use them in a fast way costs 30$.
Organizing my iTunes and iPhoto files was nothing I needed as I made horrible experiences on Windows beforehand so I learned from that and kept a tidy and organized iPhoto and iTunes from the beginning and both apps run smothely even with 8k and more songs in iTuned and a couple thousand fotos in iPhoto.
Deleting apps and the files behind them was something new for me as until now I only draged the icons in the trash. Sadly the informatione given only helps if you still know the name of the app or you still have it installed. No word about apps you allready erased but may have left traces 🙁
Activity monitor was nice.
The special something at the end felt like a promotion.
I guess I had the wrong understanding of what I will learn and hoped for a performance increase overall,

There were very little examples and tips how to organize folders, images what to backup and where is best to backup (cloud or dropbox…). From all that course I learn just 1 tip, which doesn’t worth the price of this course

I would have liked to have known the content was out of date. The Tags app mentioned in the training, which is why I signed up, is no longer available. The iPhotos portion is out of date as well.

Unfortunately, the course content refers to processes that are outdated, and refers to download links for an app which are not provided. I can only assume the app no longer exists, as I cannot find mention of it online. I watched the preview, assuming the tags app was obtainable. Also, the i-tunes organizational processes do not work in my operating system.
