The course starts of very slow until he gets to the colour correction section then it gets very professional. It just needs much more content but since this is a new course I am sure he would be adding more; so I hope this does not turn people off. Please give this instructor a chance, like I did. I gave him this rating as the techniques he does show are very affective in the film industry. I know this as I learnt similar techniques in other courses.

It seems the trainer did not prepare what he is going to do. A lot of back and forth chaotic conversation but he has the skills to teach it. He should prepare better, so you do not loose most of the time while he clicks and checks if somethings works. Sometimes I was lost in his actions but later he came back to the content. Seems he just pushed the record button an made the course in one piece. Up to now I could learn a few but useful things. Let´s see what he will roll out at the end.

I could pick some nice workflows but some main parts are not covered. Example: He showed how to get a timeline from Premiere to Davinci, but what if you want to grade your footage first and edit later in Premiere? I my cases I have a lot of footage where I will make more edits later. As well I do not understand what to do, if you want to scale a footage later or change with slomo/speed ramp. You need this often. So you would prepare the colors before to be free to make more edits later instead of start color correction again. The right export would be very important too.
Hope to see more lessions soon. Thanks

I have many DaVinci courses and this is one of the best. Film Pro (I wish I knew his real name…) has a way of teaching that I can understand. The course finally answered many questions I have had about Premiere Pro CC and DaVinci Resolve. I sent an email and received a prompt detailed response to my question. This course is pure gold. Highly recommended. Thanks Film Pro (whoever you are…)

Having never used Davinci Resolve or any other film production application, I was able to quickly get up to speed for a client project.
Colour Grading is what Davinci Resolve is renowned for and this course was an excellent find. Thank you so much Film Pro and Udemy. I look forward to learning more soon. An in depth look into how to edit audio from an experienced industry standard point of view using Fairlight would be a good. Just an idea!

I really enjoyed the Course only thing I can say is that it was a little bit on the short side. I feel like he could have shown some more real world color correction tips and gradeing but overall it was a good course.

Merci !

This course is good if you know absolutely nothing about Resolve. I only learned what I already know how to do in Premiere in Resolve. I know Resolve is an incredibly powerful CC and Color grading software, but the most powerful tools it offers are glossed over completely. Also grading is barely touched on. 90% of the course is about color correction. Absolutely no theory or concepts regarding color correction or grading is explained, other than the technical aspects of how to achieve a color corrected image in Resolve. The instructor is also pretty scattered and frustrating to listen to. Some examples seem unnecessary and the “protecting skin tones when color grading” example results in some terribly distorted footage when following along without proper keying of the skin tones (which he doesn’t really explain how to do). I would only recommend if you are 100% new to color correction and Resolve but if you have a basic knowledge of CC, I don’t think this will be that helpful.

This is not for making fancy thing.

It’s all about the basic concept:
How to do it and why to do it so.

In my opinion it’s very, very important to know that or what you need is just go to youtube tutorial which may ruins your project.

Muito bom para quem está acostumado a editar no Premiere e quer fazer a correção de cor e o color grading no DaVinci.

This is not an expert teaching the course. The teacher has not made a plan or structure on what to talk thus he talks about random things related to the topic, but clearly without structure. This is just a mess.
Moreover, there are serious flaws on what he teaches. He says you should always hit the top and bottom of the waveform monito in order to get the best result. This is completely wrong. You have to match IRE values on the waveform monitor in relation to what is on the image. If the brightest point in an image is middle grey, well the brightest point on the waveform monitor should not exceed middle grey.
Additionally, the teacher shows how to export from premiere to davinici. However, the course suddenly stops after color grading. How to I bring the files back to davinci? No word on this!

–> This course is a pure waste of money!!
