The Deep learning masterpiece is built on top of an ensemble machine learning of artificial neural networks (ANNs) that can upscale, add FPS, colorize, remove noise, and much more.
FPS boosting
A neural network trained via slow-mo movies will artificially generate additional frames for your footage. Even 14 fps films can easily be boosted to 60 fps.
β Colorization
A neural network specifically trained using our own dataset will provide you with an approximate artificial colorization of each frame. While not historically accurate, the colorization appears natural.
4k upscale
Each frame can be upscaled using specifically-targeted data that perfectly aligns with your footage. Our neural network will “redraw” the missing data and increase the frame resolution 4x or more.

La técnica planteada en este curso para colorizar realmente funciona en casos muy concretos donde no esté presente mucha complejidad en la composición de la imagen/video. Lo poco rescatable del curso son las partes sobre corrección de color tanto en Photoshop como en Premiere, aunque para el instructor es tan sencillo como llevar valores a extremos a pesar de lo quemada que deja la imagen/video. Por último, sinceramente resulta insultante su intento de re-escalado a 4k y “mejora” de framerate a 60 fps; lo único que logra es crear un archivo innecesariamente más pesado, sin un aumento real de calidad y encima al doble de velocidad que el video original para conseguir sus 60 fotogramas por segundo. Para aumentar el framerate del video se requiere de otra inteligencia artificial, no basta con mover un parámetro en un editor de video.
