I love music. I love how it makes me feel and I love how it brings people together. No one should ever feel like they can’t be a part of it. That’s why I created the Colourform learn-to-dance program – the ultimate gateway for absolute beginners to learn how to dance to nearly any genre of music! The pedagogy is galvanised by custom-made music and a fascinating science flare, all wrapped up in a lighthearted ‘gamified’ experience.
Each video has been maticulously designed to be no longer than 5-10 minutes. You’ll learn one idea per lesson and instantly be able to put it into practice through ‘drills’ and simple ‘homework’ tasks.

I always loved music (especially Latin); it has been a passion of mine. I can play a couple of instruments, but I was never a very good dancer. I did not realize how timid and insecure I was when I went on to the dance floor for the first time. It felt like everyone was just secretly judging me as I struggled to do even the simplest of moves. I never was much of a party person, nor did I attend that many. I do not want to be called a party pooper, but I seriously struggled to get motivated to go back.
Years after those embarrassing experiences, I encountered your YouTube channel. I was so thrilled and impressed with your passion for teaching people how to dance. Not just teach choreographies for specific songs, but actual moves that I can fit into any song. I tried my best to follow along with your Masterclasses on YouTube, but of course, they were too intense for me. However, with your “Learn to Dance With ‘Colourform'” program, I have gotten so much better and confident at dancing, and I am super excited to learn more moves from your YouTube channel. Your idea of putting color into dance was incredibly clever and super useful to keep in mind. It upsets me that you do not gain any revenue from your YouTube videos because of copyright law, but I am glad to help out by purchasing this program. I cannot show any of my moves just yet because of quarantine, but even during these challenging and confusing times, there cannot be a better time to learn how to dance in the comfort of your own home.
Even after finishing the course, I still have so much to learn and master! Many things demonstrated throughout the course are still challenging for me. There is no way you can finish this program in one go and call yourself a “master dancer,” nor does a certificate of completion demonstrates that. It is all about practice! Everyone learns at different speeds, and I certainly learn at a slower and steady pace. “Slow and steady wins the race.” I will rewatch these videos repeatedly until I feel comfortable enough to go with more challenging moves. Please do not discourage yourself with how wonky, janky, floppy, or flat out weird you look when you first start because that was me when I started this course. I am sure EVERYONE started like this. Like I said, It is all about PRACTICE! You will slowly but surely get better at dancing. You do not need a natural talent for this type of thing.

This course is unique. It teaches you how to really “feel” the music. Dancing is not just learning the steps /and then repeating them robot-like over and over/. Dancing means to embody the music and that is exactly what you learn here. If you ask whether an experienced dancer will get something, the answer is a strong Yes! It definitely deepened my understanding of the music and dance. Not being a house and hip hop fan I was tempted to skip those classes. Glad I did not. Boy, did I have a great time shuffling and hopping around the room like a penguin on steroids!! I guess it has all to do with the teacher – Nathan could make a lampost get dancing!
