SImple flash lighting techniques explained in a manner that is easy to understand. The instructor is knowledgable, engaging, and gives plenty of helpful tips across a range of lighting situations. And all this is accomplished with minimum equipment. For those like me, I dont have huge budget, this is invaluable information.

This is a nice course and it takes you step by step to some photo shoots. I was expecting to see more images samples during the photoshoot because you hear about the different settings and techniques but you don’t see always the results. I think it is a good course for those who have basic knowledge of the camera and flash settings and little experience in photoshoots.

The course don´t cover the “thing” I´m looking for, but it´s very very useful anyway. The book included it´s great too!

No cubre lo que andaba buscando, pero aun así es bastante bueno y da unos tips muy útiles. El libro incluído también es muy completo. Recomendado!

So I had high hopes for this one, especially for the keywords Fashion and Galmour. You will learn nothing about posing or dresses here. This a basic lighting tutorial at best.

      What is good?

      – You get to relive several shoots with the author (even the process gets quite repetitive)
      – You get a huge amount of PDF material how to digitally remaster your photos in Photoshop
      – You get a full list and explanation of all gear being used in the videos
      – There is a boudoir shot included
      – There are some interesting poses, that the model perform without any instruction or explanation

      What is bad?
      – It gets quite repetitive. The 10 minute videos could be 2 minutes long easily. Once some very brief and basic instructions were given, everything else gets very repetitive in the last 6 minutes. Now imagine, that there are 21 videos with 6 minutes of boredom which makes 2 hours.
      – The communication with the models is very brief
      – No explanation about posing
      – No explanation about dresses
      – No explanation about makeup
      – Low educational value (pedagogic)

Overall the curse is nothing special from the beginning and a little bit boring. I hoped for a plan and what is going on. Maybe it is just not my style. But the tutorial is neither exciting nor very explanatory.

What you get is a sneak peak into a day as a photographer. But this on several locations! It is mostly based on flash lighting and modifiers and it has not much to do with posing or glamour except for the outfits. There is even a boudoir shot included but it is so repetitive it his hard to stay focused.

I see the author tries to transmit, but the educational value is very low and brief.

Pour ceux qui espéraient en apprendre plus sur la photographie de portraits c’est raté.Peu de guidance dans le choix des réglages, pas de plan d’éclairage et vraiment peu de théorie … Très décevant.

The course had some insights for me and is well produced. It is mainly about using speed-lights on location. However fashion photography is done also in studio and on location with available light. I would have liked to see more variation here. There is also a part on handling the files in photoshop and Lightroom which is expendable, as there are more comprehensive courses on post production available.

This is a very, very informative course. I really like it. I’ve been kind of reluctant to use speedlights and I can see here how to use them properly. I like the Photoshop lecture, however, I was lost concerning the Lightroom set-up explanations.
I’d like to have the list of the equipment. There are some brands I couldn’t catch them. For example, the pole to hold the beauty dish, or the battery pack of the Canon speedlights.

This was a very good course, having studied visual communication with my major in photography, this was a fun course to work through. The skin editing section of the course was really nicely explained and detailed. I hit a slump with my photography for a while, but having recently found new inspiration I decided to give this a go as a kind of refresher. Really good course.

The course is adequate for those who are prepared with fundamentals and are looking for more subtle techniques.
It has a lot of room for improvement as far as the didactic aspect is concerned. The course shows little structure that could help in organizing concepts in a certain sequence, it is essentially presented according to the instructor’s photo shoot flow, so if he forgot to mention one important thing, there’s no way for him or us to pick it up – well, he can pick it up afterwards, but that’s of no use. And there’s nothing suggesting that the settings chosen were deliberately planned to open the slot for him to teach what he taught.

To get value out of this course, you need to be prepared to see and interpret for yourself what is being aimed at in the setup. By any means, if you are new to photography, start somewhere else, because this instructor doesn’t explain to you fundamentals like what exposure; he will however give you some insight when it comes to composition.
