The Nik Collection has for a long time been an industry leading suite of plugins that you can use to create just about any kind of photographic effect you can imagine. With the power to create vivid special effects, vintage photos, painterly HDR images, and the industry standard Black and White image conversion software, the Nik Collection gives you enough power to come up with fantastic effects for a lifetime.

Let me help you tap into that power. I’ll take you through all the plug ins the Nik Collection has to offer. I’ll show you the workflow, the methods and the gotchas. I’ll give you explanations, tips – and enough exercises to nail down that new found knowledge.

Every image you see will be available for you to download and work with. Every one of the 7 plug ins has practice activities. After you’ve learned the plug ins, I’ll take you through workflows of different images so you see the different plugins and how the work with each other. Enroll now, and let me show you how to unleash your creativity using the incredible power of the Nik Collection!

So when I originally rated this course I gave it four stars. Now I’m a little way further through I need to review that rating to five stars.

Im learning loads and loads its well presented and understandable and I’m enjoying it.

I’ve had the NIK Collection for years but never been able to do anything more than basic stuff… until now. This course is bringing the program to life and changing the game… I recommend it.

So Im halfway through. Its defiantly a 5 star course. Still Learning lots. Put a lot of what i’ve learnt into practise and I’m very pleased with the result.

Ok so I’ve finally finished the course. I feel I now have a really good understanding of the Nik Collection. I have already used the knowledge gained to enhance a good number of images. The course has given me the ability to go from strength to strength with my image editing skills.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who has the Nik Collection. 5 stars well warranted. Thank you Simon.

A real eye opener. I have had Nik Collection on my computer for a long time, but never realised its potential.

I was often distracted by asking myself the question “How would I do that in Affinity?”

    and a year later….
Revisited the course after reloading Nik to my new computer. It remained fresh and I got a lot from it because I have one more year of experience under my belt. I suspect Affinity Photo will do some thimgs just as well because of the masks built into the adjustments. Bit this has been fun.

I am writing this course having also looked at some of the next course on creative use of Nik Collection recipes, where I realised I had to complete this one first in order to get the best out of he next ine!

    Great job! Thanks

A really, really good course, which I enjoyed mostly because of the pace it was set at and also because of all the information given. My only negative is that, for the most part, ‘Lightroom’ was the main and most mentioned image editor throughout the course. I do not have Lightroom only Affinity Photo and it was not shown how or when I should use the different colour profiles, which kept on being mentioned prior to opening up the various Nik Plugins. Perhaps the odd add mention of how to in Affinity could be slipped in in a later update. Thanks again Simon for all your marvellous work.

Excelente curso. O professor explorou as ferramentas dos plugins do Nik Colletion de forma bastante didática e aprofundada. Também proporcionou uma visão de como utilizar tais ferramentas de forma sequenciada. Por isso dou nota máxima.

I am enjoying the course. However, would be good to see it more with affinity photo being used.

As with all Simon Foster’s courses, this one covering the Nik Collection was exceptional. Now, I know how the professionals doctor their pictures to look so….well, fantastic. I will continue to purchase all of Simon’s Affinity Photo related courses because I learn so much about how to edit my images. I just wished I had the “artist’s eye” that he has so I could see all the different possibilities for editing my own stuff. Thanks again, Simon, for a wonderful course.

Gute Basics, aber eher oberflächlich wenn es um Details einzelner Filter geht

Very good introduction to the entire NIK suite. Updated to current version (4). Learned a lot of very useful information already and I’m not quite halfway through. Good pace, well organized and generally easy to follow.
