Hello. I have purchased the course to improve my understanding of proper slang. I have to mention that English is my second language. It seems to me that the course is mostly catered for men especially those men who don’t have good moral standards and have no problems talking dirty. I’m very disappointed in this course because most of the slang is vulgar and inappropriate. Most of it relates to sex, dating, partying and drugs. This is a waist of money and time if you are an intelligent person who speaks English as a second language. After watching the videos it makes me wonder about the instructor’s background. I really don’t enjoy this course and have a huge regret buying it because out of the whole course I could only use several phrases of appropriate slang, the rest of the slang phrases is just a dirty junk that I have no interest in learning. I really would like a refund. money.

I was happy with the course at first. Then I developed a feeling that using the course vocabulary in conversations would make me sound like a 420 friendly, uneducated girl from some NYC ghetto.
I also tried to use the course vocabulary in conversations with my American boyfriend (he is California born and raised, currently lives in New York and works for Google), and he told me that he had never heard quite a lot of phrases from the course (e.g. “a boomerang child”, “to drink brown”, etc). He also shared that in his opinion, some other words and phrases were weird to say (like calling beer “a brewskie”). I remember hearing a word “brewskie” from Robin Sherbatsky in HIMYM, and it seemed to me that they were mocking a Canadian girl for using such a strange vocabulary in the USA.
I do not want to be that girl myself. I bought the course for the opposite purpose.
Of course, there is some great vocabulary as well, but non-native speakers can’t always differentiate one from another and might end up not dominating the conversation, but sounding hilarious in a bad way.
Probably it would save the day if there were a division of slang vocabulary into 3 sections: general-purpose slang vocabulary that is safe for reproduction in any situation by anyone; vocabulary that is still appropriate, but not recommended for reproduction in any situation (but can be useful for understanding movies, etc.); and inappropriate vocabulary.
