Have you ever wondered why understanding electronics is difficult? Is it because electronics is really that difficult? Or is it because teachers’ explanations are difficult to understand and they use outdated teaching methods? Whatever is the case, Hardware Academy is here to provide high-quality courses that will cover 2 years of educational courses that you could get by attending a BSc in Electrical Engineering. We will start from the fundamentals and as we progress, we will try to understand more and more complicated circuits (which you will find out later that there are not even that complicated !).

Each chapter will have multiple exercises (questions with multiple answers) that you will have to complete (like a test) so that we know if you have paid attention or not and if you succeed,  you can proceed further with the courses.

The simulator that we will use is available for free for everyone and based on multiple reviews, the simulator that we are going to use is the best tool if you want to understand how circuits work! (and it’s so much fun to use it ! )

We can guarantee that you will understand each course since we tried hard to explain in the most coherent way (also in the simplest way but at the same time reaching more complex topics)  using one of the best software to simulate the circuits which will be an eye-opener for you.

Who this course is for:

  • People who think that electronics is difficult to understand.
  • Students who want to learn quickly electronics and who don’t have time to build all the circuits from scratch.

A comprehensive course. Quite similar to what I might learn at college.

The course served as a good review for me and was quite broad in scope. I personally would have preferred that the instructor to go into a little more depth and more often and more clearly indicate and acknowledge when first or second order approximations were being made. Often he will say things such as “…no current flows…” or ‘…the signal is blocked…” I feel it would be helpful to indicate up front and more prominently when approximations are being made. More often using phrases such as “…the output signal is reduced…” (rather than “blocked”) when discussing filters, or explaining that while a very small current flows into an opamp input and a very small difference in voltage will exist between its plus and minus inputs, for many purposes these can be ignored and treated as if they are zero. That being said, I’d say it’s a good course for a beginner to get of fthe ground quickly in practical electronics. Despite some limitations, the simulator used in the course is helpful in explaining, demonstrating and visualizing circuit behavior without needing to install any software. Regarding that, I think it would be helpful sometimes for the instructor to select the “stacked” option when displaying waveforms to more clearly show their timing relationships.

Instructor has a slight accent combined with sometimes poor quality audio which make him hard to understand. There is a lot of math in this course which may or may not be necessary for a tech to understand but may be great for an electrical engineer.

Great course on Analog circuit. It helps to refresh my knowledge and prepares me to take on new role in my career. The English is easier to understand, however there are some courses come with annoying sound effect, which could be improved. Having said that, the content and pace is very well planned.

Needs to slow the presentations down a couple of notches…

I liked this course, mostly for its completeness. Some small niggles that others have mention take it from 5 to a 4 (Some overpowering music in parts, some parts where one lesson does not tie in totally with the next). Overall a good course, I took a couple of months to work through it. The hands on simulations were mostly helpful. It filled in some gaps I had as a hobbyist and some of my misunderstandings. I would, and have, recommended it to others.
