the course felt very rushed, as I watched your videos I ended up more on YouTube for better explanations. also the using it within a daw didn’t work for me so now about to search YouTube. overall this course gave me help learning but left me more confused.

The content is very clear and to the point. I would have like to see a brief overview of the preferences and an overview of exporting audio through the export dialog. Minor gripes are the overall video resolution and the shots of the Maschine hardware screens, which lacked contrast and detail. Overall, this is a solid course for Maschine beginners. Rob Jones is an excellent teacher.

All of this information is free and available on YouTube by other content creators if you do some digging. Some of the course material uses old footage from the old software and hardware… most of it translates over but I still find this to be pretty lazy. It wouldn’t be hard to re-record with the new software/hardware. I would have refunded this course but I’ve watched too much of the course to refund it. Oh well. At least it was only $20. Save yourself the money and just find tutorials on YouTube.

This course has been amazing in my introduction to Maschine and I already have made a lot of progress learning how to use the controller and software. I find that Rob is a great instructor and I was also impressed that he updated the content of the course to reflect updates in how the hardware and software worked, I don’t usually leave review till I finish courses but I felt these course has been so worthwhile to me so far I think it deserved 5 stars.

I just wanted to say how helpeful this course has been for me. I purchased my maschine without any background musical experience and no idea how to work it. Not even half way through this course and I feel like I have a great understanding of how to use my machine and all the things it’s capable of. I’ve seen comments and reviews on this course complaining but I’d say anyone that’s having trouble following along should probably take a step back, relax and try again. Any issues I’ve had So far I’ve been able to work out myself by just taking a second to think and figure it out. This course has been so helpful that I signed up for another machine course as well. I believe that some people that left complaints probably had unreal expectations for this course. Anyone genuinely interested in learning machine will have no problem picking it up by simply following along with these videos. Hope this helps. Thanks again for the great course!

Ive actually bought all robs courses. Its professional, hes clear and concise and really opens your mind up to whats possible not just what it can do. I actually bought a maschine 3 and hadnt even finished the mk2 course, lol, that was because after getting halfway I realised I wanted more 🙂 kinda robs fault, thats what I told the wife anyway 😉
